About
Updated 2026-05-14
Zelon was founded in 2026 as a small studio between two cities. We design in London and make in Sri Lanka, where our atelier partner has cut and finished couture-grade garments for three generations.
We do not chase trends. Each capsule is shaped by what is missing from our own wardrobes: the quiet pieces that hold a shape, take a wash, and grow more familiar over time. Wool from Italian and British mills. Cotton poplin from Coimbatore. Linen from Lithuania. Cashmere from Inner Mongolia, traced to a single co-operative.
Our first capsule is in production. It is small by design. We would rather make one coat that you keep for ten years than ten coats that you keep for one.
The studio operates on a slow calendar. New work is released when it is ready, not on the schedule of the wider fashion industry. Garments are produced in short runs, often under one hundred pieces per style, and rarely repeated in the same form.
We believe in quiet things. A jacket should not announce itself. A dress should let the wearer be the louder one in the room. The work of design is to take away, not to add, until only what is necessary remains.
Zelon is a private studio. We do not wholesale. Everything we make is sold directly, in pounds and in rupees, to customers who find us through word of mouth and through this site.
The atelier is open by appointment in both cities. Write to us if you would like to visit.
